I don’t know what’s going on in the world at the moment but there’s definitely something in the air that suggest that a significant change in direction is on it’s way. Who knows what it will be or where it will come from but I feel the same way I did as a wide-eyed youth back in the late 80s just before Acid house came and changed everything from the way we pay our taxes to the theme music on the ten o’clock news. True to form and ahead of the curve it also feels like the peerless label 6876 have created the jacket that we’ll all need to be wearing when this consequential change happens. The pristine MS-1 Storm jacket is design genius Kenneth Mackenzie’s take on the harrington with the welcome addition of a three layer fabric construction and storm pockets and cuffs to keep the rain at bay. The icing on the cake for me though is the bold yet somehow still rather subtle ‘Six Eight Seven Six’ branding on the back of the MS-1 which balances out the minimalist whiteness to perfection.
