As the excellent Dead Shoe Scrolls site has been resurrected here’s a cool trainer-related story that sounds like it was taken straight from it’s pages but is in fact 100% true. The prototype for the City Marathon PT shoe lay hidden for almost a third of a century in the attic of a former Technical Director of adidas, until last year when he rediscovered it whilst the 90-year-old was moving house. Featuring the much loved shock absorbing Dellinger Web technology this AW13 pack comes in three different colours namely Berlin, Chicago and New York (my favourite) all featuring the distance it takes to complete a marathon (42.195km) on the heel. Makes you wonder what’s up in your own loft doesn’t it?
