I love it when people use denim to make stuff other than jeans, remember when Nudie made that badminton racket case? Marvellous times. Any way this time around Asics have gone and applied the de nimes treatment to a pair of their GEL-LYTE III and GEL-LYTE V models swerving the more obvious indigo in favour of a lovely bit of black Okayama denim. They look ace don’t they? I’ve no idea if you’re not allowed to wash them for six months and/or whether they’ll look even cooler after you’ve worked on a building site in them for a couple of weeks but I do know they’ll be available to buy on the 27th August.
