The beautiful Baracuta G4 has been given a motorcycling makeover care of historic Italian brand Dainese who’ve used their leading expertise in dynamic sports technology and protection to create a totally unique jacket that features detachable shoulder and elbow. Renamed the D4 this road-friendly version features heat taped seams and a slightly ‘smeared’ breathable yet waterproof outer fabric to protect against the elements.
The reason for the detachable pads is to enable the wearer to have a functional motorcycle jacket whilst riding as well as a regular jacket for when you’re out of the saddle. The spine of the jacket also features a protection pad which is also made from an outer layer polymer with high absorption impact and elasticity that makes for an extremely flexible structure. Pretty amazing eh? It’s genuinely made me want to buy a motor-bike though I might just wait for Baracuta to start making helmets (ideally a cord one) before I go and get myself a vintage Triumph.
