Continuing with the 40th anniversary celebrations of Kickers legendary Kick Hi boot our top mate David Hellqvist and Document Studios have produced a beautiful retrospective publication entitled ‘Forty’ in honour of this fab piece of French footwear. As well as some quality images there’s a great interviews with stylist Simon Foxton, as well as informative pieces on Kick Hi’s denim roots by writer Dean Mayo Davies and the sub-cultural impact of the boot by editor Daryoush Haj-Najafi. The new anniversary denim model iget some love in here too proving that the boot is still very much on a contemporary tip. So if (like me) Kickers have played a part an important part in your footwear history then I strongly advise you get hold of a copy of ‘Forty’.
