Ding, ding, Round Two. M(other’s) F(avourite) DOOM (Iconic US Hippity Hoppity artist) is back together with Clarks Originals for another highly limited and anticipated release.

Earlier in the year we previewed the DOOM Wallabee shoe, which pretty much flew out of stores thanks to the Hypsters and the fact they were a heck of a strong looking shoe.

This time sees things get even more personal for DOOM as he uses his beloved NYC and particularly his ‘team’ The Knicks as inspiration for the colour-way of this limited edition Wallabee boot.

A lush, navy blue, tumbled suede upper sits on that famous Wallabee crepe sole, that’s been given a major twist with its orange painted profile. Not so much a ‘colour pop’ as a ‘colour smash in the face’. Oh, did I mention; the sole glows in the dark too!! I kid you not.

To top it off the orange is carried through into the rope laces, which also have a reflective strand intertwined through them.

Be easy to call it all ‘dead gimmicky’, if the boot as a whole didn’t work so well and look so bloody good. And it does. Really bloody good.

Inner city New York and the Wallabee have always had strong ties; this Clarks Originals x Doom Wallabee High is only going to strengthen them further.
