Like a lot of honest-to-goodness British brands, Walsh Footwear are coveted over in Japan. They’ve got loads of stockists out there and they’re doing a collaboration with Sunspel Japan this year. Their latest collection is a very slight departure from what they’ve become known for, it’s like they’ve followed the old ‘if it’s not broken don’t fix it’ mantra, but been savvy enough to offer some subtle edits. The result is a timeless sports shoe with a contemporary feel.
Norman Walsh may sound like your friendly local butcher but to me, that’s part of the appeal. I also like seeing the Union Flag used in the way it always used to be used, instead of draped across a dickhead. So yeah, Walsh are fine by me. Check them out.
