Eeeh, I do like it when we get sent mad lookbooks from European brands. Where we see something to keep us warm on draughty spring evenings, they see something to wear with a rug. The latter is far better, obviously.
Howlin’ is based in Antwerp, which is in Belgium in case you didn’t go to Geography lessons. They make some of the best knitwear around, but like most brands centred around fabric to keep you warm, how does it approach summer? Surely their strength is the demand for nice natural fibres when the temperature drops? It’s normal that in summer, the only natural fibres people want are lightweight and cotton. Well, not so. I might not be throwing on a massive wool number to sprint to the chippy, but how often have you done that thing where you go to a mate’s barbecue in a shirt and shorts, and found yourself shivering, huddled around the stinky embers by about half seven? You know it don’t you?
Get one of these for such an eventuality, and if you want to go mad, find yourself a nice bit of carpet too.
