Call me fickle/biased but due to it’s brilliant logo and being named after a steep-as-owt road in my beloved Peak District I’m already bang into this new brand and they haven’t even made anything yet! Well that’s not entirely true, as an amuse-bouche to the forthcoming main-course of Mamnick’s very first clothing line are two snazzy yet sturdy accessories. Made from the Sheffield brand’s legendary local steel both tie slide and money clip are a mark of respect to founder Thom’s granddad Eric who spent most of his working life within the world renowned South Yorkshire steel industry. However the real meat and potatoes of the brand will be making an appearance soon by way of four limited edition shirts as well as some Peak-proof outerwear made from air-textured yarn. Check out Mamnick’s tumblr page for some sneak peaks (see what I did there?) of the shirts as well as some moody and bracing shots of the label’s rural influences and one of my favourite places on earth, the Peak District.
