MOOVIN Festival 2017

I’m in a bit of a dilemma here as last year I went to a genuinely brilliant festival that featured some of my favourite ever bands and DJs, that also had some top class street food on sale, as well as decent/reasonably priced ale that I didn’t have to queue up for with zero dickheads in attendance. The problem being that there’s now another one happening this year and I’m not sure I want anyone else to know about it. I just want it to be me and my mates all sat there eating fried chicken, quaffing pints whilst taking in the likes of Black Grape, Greg Wilson, Mad Professor, Roy Ayers, Graeme Park & Mike Pickering,  The Freestylers, Gilles Peterson, AIM and 808 State. But I suppose that’s a bit selfish of me isn’t it? OK then it’s called Moovin festival and takes place on the August Bank Holiday weekend from the 25th to the 27th in Etherow Country Park which is about a 20 minute drive from Manchester City centre. It’s an independent and intimate affair in a beautiful setting with a 3,500 capacity that ensures you won’t get squashed even if you’re at the front of the stage or have your view of Shaun Ryder obscured by a load of sweaty revellers swaying on each others shoulders. Tickets are flying out fast both for camping and day passes so don’t hang about and head here to get yours booked.  See you there!
