New Balance x Stance

Stance, the American sock and underwear merchants, have hooked up with New Balance, the people that make really good trainers, to produce what you should be wearing with no socks all summer.

Entitled ‘First of All,’ the two new pairs pay homage to each brand’s hometowns – Boston and San Clemente. Two companies, working together, from opposite American coats, to make sweet, juicy trainers.

The Boston trainer features the iconic New Balance 997 in a copper rose and tan, colours that give a big thumbs up to the city’s famed brownstone architecture. In addition, a cobblestone patterned deboss is featured on the leather accents, while a teal reflective underlay represents the patina copper often found on the brownstones.

To represent Stance, the newly-introduced New Balance 1978 silhouette is in slate blue and tan pig suede (that is a colour) to evoke the decent beaches and surf breaks of San Clemente where Stance was born about seven years ago.

While each company has a distinctly different history and lifestyle, both New Balance and Stance share pride for their hometown, a love of art, and a passion for quality craftsmanship.

Above all, these will look mint with a pair of shorts and are out from June 10th at HANON, END and Footpatrol.

Absolutely well into house plants.
