Yachts? 1989? French name? What’s not to like?! Sailing meets streetwear brand Parlez have just spliced the main brace and set sail with their new and nautical collection of AW13 sweats and tees. Being the salty old sea dog that I am it’s got me all reminiscent about my youth when (back in 1989 funnily enough) I was wearing a lot of yachting gear (Nautica & HL) and spending most of my weekends in a yachting warehouse (the Hacienda). Admittedly it was more raves than waves and I didn’t clock up many sea miles but I did contract scurvy once and I did get attacked by some pirates a few times (on the High Seas of Salford). Anyway, I feel we’ve drifted off a little from the original subject, we love this briny brand and the whole Christopher Cross meets Tyree Cooper vibe. Anchors away for Parlez!
