This collab between Berlin’s Solebox and ASICS is creating a real buzz out there in trainer-land at the moment. This striking Gel-Lyte III has been designed by Hikmet Sugoer and is inspired by life down under and the blue-hued carpenter bee or ceratina cyanea to give it it’s proper name. Perforated black nubuck reflects the black shiny metallic body part of the bee while its remarkable blue colouring is highlighted on the microsuede split tongue and lining whilst the translucent outsole reveals the Solebox logo on one side and the bee on the other. Apparently Sting has just bought a pair of these. He hasn’t really. Actually he might of done. I don’t know either way to be honest. Anyway they’re released on the 7th of May and more than likely will fly out of the shops (and go and make some trainer-flavoured honey somewhere).
