Steady Eddie Heavy Japan

In the wonderful and whiskery world of dead good denim things have just got super heavy over at Nudie HQ. No not super heavy as in spotting a plain clothes copper at a Hawkwind gig but super heavy as in ‘eighteen ounces of selvage denim spun, weaved and manufactured by the legendary Kaihara Mills in Japan’ kind of  heavy.

Available this week in limited numbers these really rather special Steady Eddie’s are Nudie’s heaviest pair of jeans to date. Taking nearly a week to make from start to finish and using 2.6 metres of Kaihara selvage, one kilo of organic Turkish cotton, 6 rivets and 4 silver plated buttons. As if that’s not enough they also come in a suitably impressive Unica box, which also contains a book, a poster and an organic cotton “Tenugui”, a Japanese towel serving as wrapping. Breaking these beauties in will probably take you twice as long as your standard Nudies but you’re sure to have a super time doing it.
