Sing hosannah! For the greatest menswear shop in the entire West Midlands (and quite possibly the UK) has re-located to a bigger and better location in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. Just round the corner from their original premises location the new Liquor Store is now located on Colmore Row where it has doubled in size and features a big basement exclusively stocked with loads of ace Universal Works products. I went along to the launch last week and was wowed not only by the macaroni cheese and beer on offer but also by the clean, stripped back, Scando aesthetic and the towering wall of denim at the back of the shop. Given just how big Brum is, I’m amazed there aren’t more fantastic independent shops like this in the city though I guess that now Liquor Store have expanded and stock the likes of Norse Projects, Patagonia, Clarks, LEE 101, APC and Edwin then there’s very little point going anywhere else is there?
