To celebrate the latest edition of Neal heard’s immense Trainers book there’s going to be a very special launch party at the very apt location of Transalpino where there’ll also be a very impressive collection of over 80 rare adidas models on display. I asked my Welsh namesake (who has also done us a cracking favourite five in the new issue of Proper btw) all about this forth-coming launch:
“I was very happy when Transalpino agreed to be the base for a Northern Launch party for the 4th edition of the book, as number one, it’s not all about London, and more importantly, for me, where better to host a celebration of Trainer culture and the book than in the city where it all started. The owner of Transalpino, Jockey, is literally one of the infamous lads who went around Europe scoring adi and bringing it back to the Uk, his pals, supplied Wade Smith. The Transalpino shop is on the same street, so the story is coming full circle. The excellent organisers of the Laces Out Trainer festival are also bringing their help and expertise to bear to make sure all goes in full swing, so we invite all to come and share the party and celebrate, where I will also be book signing.”
So there you have it, get yourself down to Transalpino this Saturday and meet Neal, see some proper mint trainers and then buy his dead good.
