I proper love Universal Works me, they just do their own thing and they do it very well. For example, this season they’ve referenced the soft suited 1950s and used the beautiful and oft-ignored Norfolk coastline for their colour palette. Which all adds a lovely ‘Band the bomb, beatnik by the beach, On the Waterfront vibe to their Harris Tweed, Yorkshire lambs wool, and Lancashire cotton creations as well as their more contemporary urban camo, Japanese denim and technical fabric wares. If this collection were a person it would be a cross between Marlon Brando & Stephen Fry.
