If you’re seeing the words OAMC, Goldwin, big and jacket all appearing in one sentence, you should take notice. Alarm bells should be ringing, not for bad reasons though. Only for the forthcoming hit to your bank balance and poor excuse you’ve got to formulate to your partner / housemate / dog when a suspiciously puffy parcel is handed to you by the postman.
For this collection Goldwin and OAMC have partnered up to produce a six-piece outerwear collection that draws inspiration from how mountaineers explore mountains in twos for safety and companionship but mainly to avoid going all Jack Torrance in the peaks.
The photography for the capsule was shot against the stunning backdrop of the Dolomites. (in our opinion the coolest sounding mountain range) The only thing better looking than the snow covered caps in the photos is the garments themselves.
The collection consists of six items: a coat, jacket, insulated coat, insulated jacket, down jacket and long pants. That could potentially be the record for the most times ‘jacket’ and ‘coat’ have appeared in a single sentence at Proper, exciting stuff.
The partnership between the two brands brings together OAMC’s innovative designs and modern aesthetics with Goldwin’s 70 years of technical and functional expertise.
The outerwear features traditional cords, as in the rope not the bumpy fabric, custom wool materials and hand-written product labels for each item.
The collection is compromised of both waterproof and insulated gear, with the most weighty of which being two behemoth parkas. One parka is 3-layer and waterproof while the second is insulated, additionally an insulated liner jacket, down jacket and 3-layer field jacket and pants also feature.
Each item is available in both a black and beige colourway.
The collection is available to purchase online here.
