New season of Paraboot arrives at The Garbstore

Just a quick one, a heads-up if you will.

It’s always exciting news when the word Paraboot appears in it, and the most recent movements of the French brand come in the form of two variants of their classic silhouettes arriving at The Garbstore. The two silhouettes in question are the Thiers Shoe and cult classic, the Michael.

The Thiers shoe is modelled on a traditional style from the ’60s, a chunky rubber sole is set into an upper made of tumbled-leather, you know that sort of leather that looks a bit crocodile-y.

As for the Michael, it hardly needs any introduction, but here’s one anyway. Since its introduction to the Paraboot line-up in 1945 the Michael has hardly changed, they’re constructed in France from black deer (we didn’t even know they made those) leather, which is then adjoined by Norwegian welts to a chunky rubber sole.

We’ve always thought that Paraboot is the ideal brand to wear on foot if you wanted to dress like a modern character from The Sopranos – an urge we get quite a lot. They’re dressy, but not so dressy you could wear them with a tracksuit and not get mistaken for a child who’s put their school shoes back on after the end of a P.E. lesson.

Anyway, these two lovely pieces of footwear are now available to purchase from The Garbstore here and here.
