Manastash release 90s-influenced collection for AW24

Manastash has got to be one of the most satisfying outdoor brand names to say in quick succession – Manastash, Manastash, Manastash! It’s actually quite hard to say it more than three times at a fast pace.

Turns out that Manastash is actually named after a real place – Manastash Ridge in the Pacific Northwest, an area that is home to a variety of outdoor activities such as skiing, trekking, mountain biking, rafting and kayaking. Who would’ve thought?

Outside of having a lovely name, Manastash also produce lovely clothing and we were recently delighted to receive some information regarding their AW24 range, and fortunately for us it has got just about every type of garment we’re into – knitwear, fleeces and big coats.

For the Autumn/Winter 2024 season Manastash has drawn inspiration from classic American entertainment but reinterpreted it through their unique lens, the collection attempts to capture a nostalgic yet modern aesthetic through the influence of both 90s street culture and vintage sportswear.

Manastash like most brands we’re into are environment first, meaning that they haven’t been shy in using hemp and recycled fibres for AW24.

Now to get into the pieces themselves, there’s one that we’re particularly enthusiastic about and like with almost every release, it’s the big jacket. The big jacket on offer from Manastash is named the M-Rip Jacket and is a big-yellow-down-filled-ray-of-sunshine, the jacket has been coated in a silicon resin that improves water repellence and also prevents feathers from escaping as they have a tendency to do. The feathers in question are 700-fill power duck-down ones and this contributes to making the coat look pretty puffy and toasty.

Outside of the biggest coat of the collection, we’re also heavily into the Chimayo Fleece Jacket which takes its name from a particularly arid-looking area famous for its red stone in New Mexico, we’re also assuming this is where the fleeces mad looking pattern comes from.

There’s a whole host of other fleecy bits and even some more formal attire on offer, you’re much better off just looking at that though – we’re running out of descriptive words.
