Pyrenex pairs up with suave Swedes at Nitty Gritty

The first fall of snow here in our part of the world last night heralded the official arrival of Big Jacket Season®.

The sound of swishing on this morning’s commute was audible, as the padded puffer count noticeably increased and everyone eyed each other on the quiet, wondering if their big jacket was as good as the others on show.

Ok I’m exaggerating a bit here, but it’s only so I can give the appropriate platform to an outerwear piece that deserves talking about.

Known ostensibly as a multi-brand retailer, Nitty Gritty® is based in a part of the world where cold weather is guaranteed and therefore when they talk about jackets, we listen. Aside from selling this stuff, they also work with brands, helping them cement their standing in Scandinavia as a whole.

One such brand is Pyrenex, with their story stacked with more than 160 years of expertise, know-how and passion. The fact the business remains family-owned is testament to the fact this stuff is in their nature.

“Stellar” is the continuation of the companies’ partnership for FW’24/25 and their first collaborative release. Not content with employing Swedish sensibilities alongside Pyrenex’s expertise, a Japanese ultralight ripstop makes this a sturdy garment that packs down into its own bag, and comes in three winning colours.

There’s very little else we can say about this other than once again reaffirm how nice we think it is, so there you go. See more at Nitty Gritty.
