Six of the Best – Mohair

Mohair is a fabric that has had a bit of a moment semi-recently, but the truth is mohair has always been a top notch material. The more we see mohair, the more we’re coming to terms with its versatility – it works on cardigans, socks, sweaters, pants and even underwear. Okay, yeah maybe not that last one. Can only begin to imagine the itch.

As a way of celebrating our affinity for the fabric gift from the goats, we’ve compiled a quick list of our favourite mohair products on the market right now…

ST-95 Solare Mohair Knit

The colour on this ST-95 knit is mental. Is it blue? Purple? Lilac even? Who knows, but one thing’s for sure – it’s well nice.

Corridor Space Dye Mohair Jumper

This knit from Corridor is everything a mohair sweater should be – fluffy, colourful and fun. Sort of like a really nice sunset.

ANONYMOUS ISM Napping Argyle Socks

These are the ultimate ‘spice up a dull outfit socks.’ If you’ve got a corporate job, but like getting small victories over the ‘man’ then whack these on with your Marks & Spencer slacks.

BEAMS Plus Crew Stretch Mohair

Some people might tell you this knit is a bit Grinch – but rest assured, it’s not. Completely the wrong shade of green. And the Grinch doesn’t even like BEAMS Plus.

MKI Miyuki Zoku Mohair Wide Leg Joggers

Mohair is a fabric that is predominantly spotted above the waist, but MKI are challenging that with these joggers. Mega, mega cozy.

Needles Mohair Cardigan

Needles have slowly been affirming themselves as the kings of mohair, and this cardigan is a good example of how they’ve done that. We wouldn’t have put these colours to work together on paper, but they most definitely do.
