Baracuta return for fine fabric SS25 release

Baracuta are back for SS25, and just as you’d expect, they’re back in force. Building off last year’s mega Barbour collaboration, the brand has given key styles a refresh, and added some new ones. It’s all very good.

New collections can sometimes be overwhelming, and Baracuta has acknowledged this by breaking theirs down into five simple key segments – Rainwear, Seersucker, Nylon Ripstop, Garment Dyed Canvas & Sportswear – all phrases that get us excited.

Kicking off with arguably the most intriguing – Rainwear- the brand’s signature Baracuta Cloth fabric, is ever present, appearing on classic coats, versatile shirt jackets, and headwear. Obviously, we can’t talk about Baracuta without mentioning the G9, which returns this season in a handful of choice colours and fabrics, including a green tartan that we’re big into.

Seersucker as mentioned, has also been implemented into a series of lightweight, summer-ready garments including button-up shirts, shorts and even a Seersucker G9. Big beer garden potential here.

Another fabric that Baracuta have aligned themselves with for this season is garment-dyed canvas, resulting in an entourage of hardwearing cotton gear in an array of deep patinas. Our top pick from this category is torn between the canvas button-up and pants, both in brown.

Despite being a brand with an immensely rich heritage, Baracuta are keen to keep things moving forward, instanced by their Sportswear collection, which sees a range of polo shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and T-shirts, including a fantastic graphic tee referencing one of their old ‘Britain’s best rainwear’ advertisements.

There’s loads of nice stuff in this release from Baracuta, and importantly they’ve not just relied on their vast catalogue of iconic garments, which they could’ve done very easily.

The Baracuta Spring/Summer 2025 collection will be available online from Baracuta and select retailers such as END., Mr. Porter and Liberty from Tuesday, 18th February.
