Peak Performance go prehistoric with Petroglyphs pack

It’s no secret that we’re into big jackets. You could even go so far as to say big jackets are our bread and butter, and if that’s the case, Peak Performance has just given us some of the nicest toast we’ve ever eaten.

The Scandinavian mountain brand has unveiled a new very distinct looking capsule, adorned entirely in an all-over “Petroglyph” print.

Now, if that word has spun your head don’t worry, it’s certainly not the most common, and that’s because it’s a noun used to describe prehistoric carvings found on caves and rocks. Basically, they result from cavemen not having many ways to express themselves artistically.

Anyway, it would appear that Peak Performance have drafted the caveman Picasso for their Petroglyph print which details a range of mad looking symbols and characters, contrasting directly to the black or white colourway of the garment.

The garments that have been subjected to the prehistoric paint job are the Helium Utility Down Jacket, The Pile Jacket and Pile Vest. Of course, our attention was immediately turned to the jacket, which has been stuffed with premium 90/10 down insulation and features a series of zip pockets, including a matte black chest pocket. We’ve been fans of the Helium Jacket for a while and this rendition has only fuelled that passion.

The accompanying fleeces have been constructed from heavy pile and are ideal companions for those windy days spent traversing a peak or a highstreet.

We’re big into brands pushing the boat out with their designs, and Peak Performance have certainly done that here. It’s refreshing that you’re still getting that same Peak Performance er performance, but in a truly unique visual package – what’s not to like?
