The release of the Jasper Zionic last year was a big, big moment. Admittedly we might be slightly biased because of our role in it all, but it’s undeniably a great shoe from a great company.
The Jasper Zionic gathered the best features from two KEEN silhouettes, the Jasper and the Zionic, and merged them into one colossal everyday hiker – it might sound all a bit Frankenstein, but trust us when we say there’s nothing ugly about it.
The original release of the Jasper Zionic was met with a monumental amount of praise (a lot of which came from us) and KEEN did not waste any time hanging about, releasing a hairy suede collaboration version with Gramicci shortly thereafter.
As you’d expect from such a collaboration they flew off the shelves – good luck to anyone trying to find a pair now.
Anyway, the latest news regarding KEEN and their Jasper Zionic concerns an all-new colourway, in a very familiar fabric…
To kickstart SS25, they’ve released a new colourway of the Jasper Zionic in a Steel Grey/Oak Buff colour combined with a brushed suede upper that’s very reminiscent of the fabric used in the Gramicci collaboration.
The colourway is mega and all importantly, very KEEN – what other footwear manufacturers are you seeing make yellow and grey trainers at the moment?
We’re buzzing to see the return of the hairy suede, and for whatever else KEEN has got in store for this year, but for now, this colourway certainly whets our appetite.
