END. & adidas announce wedding inspired collaboration

We’re only three months into the year and END. & adidas have already come knocking on our door – it only seems like the other week we were talking about their 2024 ‘Laundromat’ collaboration.

This time though, they’re standing at our door with wedding rings adorning both of their fingers and they proceed to tell us they’ve got a big announcement to make…

It’s about their latest collaboration, Tying the Knot – a limited-edition two-piece capsule collection that celebrates love and the commitment that comes with it – no all-over heart print and questionable quotes here, though.

For the campaign, END. and adidas journeyed to Berlin, where they met five couples from various walks of life. Each one, in their own way, embodies love, understanding, and the evolving nature of connection. Their stories, ripe with the nuances of contemporary relationships, serve as a counterpoint to traditional ideals of marriage, offering a deeper look at the significance of love today.

The trainers themselves—two classics given a big day makeover—take inspiration from the wedding tradition, with subtle cues that elevate them from mere footwear to symbols of commitment.

The Japan OG W leads the march down the aisle, its all-white lace uppers offering a direct nod to a traditional bride’s gown. It’s difficult to execute an elegant trainer, but the pair have certainly managed it here, amplifying the understated colourway with a touch of modern flair in the form of END.’s silver branding at the heel.

Hand in hand with the Japan OG is the Superstar Vintage, its black and white colour palette being a nod to the groom’s suit. The two-tone colourway has been equipped with a removable kiltie across the lace closure, as well as a leather toe cap, evoking a sense of sophistication.

The wedding touches don’t end there though, with the traditional phrase “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” embossed under the tongue of each shoe. We’re still not sure what it means, but it’s got something to do with getting married.

Weddings are only worth going to if you’re well acquainted with the couple, and fortunately in END. & adidas, we definitely are.

It’s not everyday you see your two mates tie the knot, so we’re expecting these will sell out pronto – set to release in all END. stores and online via END. Launches on Friday, 7th March, 2025.
