Klättermusen perfects performance for Spring/Summer ’25

There’s always been something especially Scandinavian about Klättermusen. Quite a few years ago we were fortunate to visit their HQ in the gorgeous, wholesome surroundings of Åre, Sweden so there’s some first hand experience to call on here.

Fast forward to 2025, and their reliable yet forward-facing pursuit of perfection continues to evolve, in the shape of their SS25 range. Despite it finding favour in trendy circles off the back of the Gorpcore trend, Klättermusen has done what a lot of true outdoor brands have elected to do over the years – largely ignored it. That’s not to say they’ve not seen it, appreciated it and had a quick surf on the wave, but they’re not about short-term trends or basing an entire brand strategy on something outside of their control. As such, SS25 is progressive evolution rather than a commercially-driven cash-grab.

Their Spring/Summer 2025 collection is a lineup of meticulously engineered apparel built to handle whatever the mountains throw at you. With a focus on durability, function, and sustainability, this season’s kit is as tough as it is considered.

New additions to the line-up come in the shape of Vingtor, Vidre and Gondul, continuing the tradition of naming their items after Norse folklore figures. Each of this trio of new additions lends its name to a new jacket

Vingtor comes from a poem called “Trymskvida” relating to Thor and his hammer, while Vidre relates to the word ‘forest’, we reckon. We’ve researched it a bit. We once wrote loads of product descriptions for the Klättermusen website in a former life so this is something we should have a bit of a clue about. Oh and Gondul refers to the wand-wielder mentioned widely in Norse mythology. You should read more about it. It’s interesting and it’s another reason to love this brand.

Klättermusen’s SS25 collection is built for those who move with purpose—whether that’s trekking deep into the unknown or just making the everyday an adventure.

It’s available now at Klättermusen stores, select retailers, and of course klattermusen.com.
