HALO and MESSYWEEKEND mesh military with minimalism

When a brand born from the Danish special forces links up with one of the cleanest eyewear names in the Nordics, you know you’re going to get something that’ll take some hammer and also look suitably Scando.

HALO and MESSYWEEKEND have joined forces for a collection that does the business without shouting about it. This is minimalist to look at, military in performance.

This drop is all about that low-key confidence that we’ve come to associate with countries like Denmark, where both of these are based. Handmade from top-tier materials with HALO’s tactical detailing running through it, each pair is built like kit for a covert mission, albeit one to that bar that’s just opened in. You need to get in there before the usual crowd ruin it. Sure, it’s downstairs and wearing sunglasses indoors is never really acceptable, but it’s almost summer, just do whatever you feel.

It’s hard to talk about noticeable branding with sunglasses, and these aren’t really any different. They boast the phrase “FREEDOM TO MOVE” which is laser-etched like a tiny manifesto. It’s the kind of thing you don’t notice at first, but when you do, it lands just nicely.

This is all you’d expect from a form-follows-function mashup with Danish DNA.

These launch today, 14th April.
