Two old friends of ours have paired up for the second time and we’re very much here for it. Flower Mountain are good sorts, make dead nice shoes, and they’ve got a fictional hiking club with the best name ever- The Dandelion Mountaineering Association which puts us in mind of a very tripping dream sequence. That’s probably the point, tbf. Anyway. Universal Works have long had a place at our top table too, so when they paired up (literally) with the aforementioned footwear experts, our interest was a given.
This is their second stab at a collab, and this time they’ve gone big on the florals. Not in a garish, “nan’s sofa” kind of way, but in a thoughtful, embroidered-across-the-hems, creeping-up-the-garments way. Imagine nature reclaiming a Universal Works collection, and you’re halfway there.
As you’d perhaps expect, it’s all made to sit neatly alongside UW’s SS25 range, with sneaky references to old seasons if you’re paying attention, which we weren’t at first but are now.
Whether you’re scaling mythical Japanese peaks or just walking to the shop for a Solero while staring at your phone, this one’s about celebrating nature, friendship, and the joy of making cool stuff with people you like. Dandelions, buttercups, and all.
Available now at Universal Works, Flower Mountain online, and selected shops who obviously know the score.
