Skepta & PUMA are back for round two

Skepta’s ongoing link-up with PUMA continues to deliver, this time with a new spin on the Skope Forever – a shoe first previewed to the public in May last year. The music artist turned designer has taken PUMA’s sporty DNA, stuck it under a microscope, and come back with something that looks just as suited to the studio as it does the forest.

Crowned the Skope Forever Low, this iteration positions itself as a sort of low-profile, outdoor-inspired, tech-luxury piece of footwear. Yeah, there’s not many trainers you could use all those words to

Skepta must’ve seriously been spending time on the trails recently, as the Skope Forerver Low has got proper hiking DNA in its wham sole unit and an upper made from plush black leather and grey mesh that wouldn’t look out of place on a mid-’90s trail runner. Accompanying the shoe are three sets of distinctive rope laces – one lime green, one bright red and one black.

Interestingly, Skepta has meshed the robust hiking-inspired fabrics with an iridescent metallic material on the heel and additionally wrapping around the arch of the sole. It’s a bit mad, and not something you’d want to stare at for too long on a sunny day.

The trainers have been packed up in a shoebox that continues this shiny theme; it’s bright silver, and would probably send a Magpie into some sort of cardiac arrest.

We were big fans of the Skepta PUMA collab last year, and our only concern about this follow-up was, would it be as good? Thankfully, we can confirm that it is. In fact, it might be even better.

The PUMA x Skepta Skope Forever Low can be purchased from PUMA.
