Baracuta dive into garment dyeing for SS25

Garment dyeing is a hallowed process. One that conjures up visions of Massimo Osti tinkering with test tubes and various brightly coloured liquids, like some sort of mad fabric alchemist. There’s something undeniably special about the whole thing, and the results of it can be nothing short of beautiful.

A rich, post-dyed patina is the icing on the cake, a finish that can elevate a garment from being pretty good to your most prized possession. If you can’t tell, we’re big into everything garment dyeing, and so are our Manc neighbours over at Baracuta.

Baracuta has a history as rich with garment dyeing as the patinas produced by the process. Whether it be deep-toned G9s or vivid-hued polos, Baracuta does not shy from dye. And for SS25, they’ve not just waded into the vat, they’ve dived in head first – this season is rife with garment dyed delicacies, and we couldn’t be more buzzing about it.

As you’d expect, though, they haven’t gone too wild. In traditional Baracuta fashion, they’ve kept it sensible and wearable, opting predominantly for classic navy, beige and green tones. The sort of colours you can wear for any occasion and every formality. Garment dyed offerings for this season span overshirts, trousers, shorts, vests, duffels and jackets. Yeah, there’s plenty to go at.

A firm favourite for us is the Tartan Printed G9, which has been garment dyed in a beautiful deep tarmac green, producing a pattern that looks like Scottish camouflage. We’re also palpably impressed by the accompanying Tartan Shorts and Vest, as well as the Canvas Trousers, which are available in Faded Black, Sea Storm, Tarmac Green & British Khaki.

To be honest, all of the garment dyed bits for this season are top draw, and not something that we’re doing justice by smashing on a keyboard – you’re much better off looking below, or just by visiting Baracuta’s website.
