FUBUKI swaps snowbanks for riverbanks with first ever Spring/Summer collection

You might not have heard of FUBUKI – yes, it’s a great word to say, but they’ve quietly been taking the winter/ski scene by storm. Given we rarely see snow, or sun, here in Manchester, we’d be surprised if you had heard of them, until now…

Born in Sweden, with one eye on Japan and the other on practicality, their Niseko boots became a low-key icon – proper weatherproof kit that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Now they’re swapping snowbanks for riverbanks, launching their first ever Spring/Summer collection. Two new models, same FUBUKI DNA.

Okinawa

This is their version of a rain boot, but refined. Not the clunky sort you leave at the back door, more like something you might actually want to be seen in. Lightweight, waterproof, and cut in that same minimal one-piece EVA mould. Clean lines, solid grip, a load of colour options – you get the idea. It’s what happens when you make a wellie for people who don’t like wellies

Nozawa

Probably the most interesting of the two. A hybrid slipper-mule-thing that’s just as easy to wear as it sounds. Feels a bit like a rest day shoe, but could just as easily pass for something more considered. Waterproof, grippy and deliberately stripped back. A sort of off-duty utility, if you like.

Both models carry over the stuff that made their winter boots so popular – the one-piece construction, the bright colours, the effortless blend of comfort and utility. No tech jargon and futile virtue signalling, just good, functional footwear with a clear point of view. Grab them here
