Les Deux certainly know how to pick their partners – Yale University last year, and now a man named Josh Diaz…
Those unfamiliar with Josh Diaz, might know him better by his stage name, Oldboy Studio. He’s a man who knows his way around a halftone. Based in Los Angeles, Diaz has carved out a niche for himself as a graphic artist and illustrator with a serious eye for vintage Americana designs. His work leans heavily into mono-colour prints, borrowing from retro ad layouts, Old West grit, and classic print ephemera – think dusty saloon signage meets 1970s cigarette ads, minus the lung damage.
Les Deux caught one whiff of Josh’s highly stylised illustrations, and were in. So, for their Summer 2025 drop, they’ve teamed up with him on not one, but two jersey capsule collections: the Passion Series and the Diaz Series. Both ranges tap into Josh’s distinctive aesthetic – bold, minimal, nostalgic without being pastiche – and tie neatly into the look and feel of the campaign, which sits somewhere between sun-faded romance and varsity cool.
If you’re into easy-wearing throwback garb with a pazzazz, or just want to wear something that looks like it could’ve come from a box in a forgotten roadside gas station, this collab might be for you.
