Five things we will never get bored of – Dr Pepper, Die Hard films, funny monkey videos on Instagram, Snickers duos, and KEEN collaborations. Although the first four are part of our almost daily routine – sometimes all at once – KEEN collabs are a little less frequent. That’s probably for the best, because when they do land, they feel like an event worth swiping off Instagram Reels for.
The latest KEEN collab sees the Portland-based brand linking up with Skall Studio for the third time, a partnership that’s become something of a fan favourite in the world of footwear collaborations. Both brands share a fondness for keeping things functional and fuss-free, which means the end product isn’t boisterous and loud, but instead it’s consistently calm, fun, and highly wearable.
The collaboration itself is titled ‘At Ease’, and sees the pair set to work on KEEN’s iconic Jasper model – but not as we know it. Instead of the usual suede finish, this iteration sees the Jasper rendered in canvas, with distressed seams running up the side of the silhouette. The collaboration was originally unveiled back in January during Skall’s AW25 runway show, but it’s now available for the rest of us mere mortals to view & purchase, launching in two easygoing autumnal shades: black and brown.
As you’d expect, KEEN have brought their typical functional know-how to the table, while Skall has added a refined Nordic minimalism. The result is a highly wearable pair of trainers that can be dressed up or down, whether you’re going for a morning dog walk, attending an evening meal, or simply watching some funny monkey videos on your commute to work.
