END. have been throwing themselves one hell of a 20th birthday bash. Collaborations left, right and centre, and activations everywhere in between. It’s been a wild, wild ride – with Barbour, C.P. Company, adidas & Salomon (just to name a few) link-ups along the way – but now the time has come… END.’s 20th birthday party is about to, well, end.
But before it does, the retailer has one more thing up its sleeve, or perhaps we should say on its sleeve. An exclusive collaboration with Massimo Osti’s compass badged brand, Stone Island.
That’s right, just when you thought it was all over, END. have pulled out the equivalent of a 94th-minute bicycle kick winner. They really have saved the best until last. It’s big, it’s green, and it’s highly, highly limited.
The piece of outerwear in question is the Translucent Cover TC & Plated Reflective Jacket – a behemoth dual-layer coat that looks different from every angle you look at it. One minute it’s shimmering, the next it’s glowing, and if you stare too long, you’d half-expect it to start dissolving.
Created to mark END.’s 20th anniversary, the jacket comes in an outrageously good shade of emerald green – the official gemstone of two-decade celebrations, apparently. Most would have bought a ring. END. have created a hyper-technical piece of Italian outerwear. A retailer after our own heart.
The outer shell is Stone Island’s semi-transparent Translucent Cover-TC, a fabric that subtly distorts the liner beneath, giving the whole piece a sort of glowy underwater shimmer. Underneath sits the detachable Plated Reflective liner, which has been treated with a resin bath containing thousands of microscopic glass spheres. Yes, it looks as mad as it sounds.
Functionality-wise, it’s everything you’d expect from Stone Island. Drawstring hood, drawstring waist, press-stud pockets, underarm ventilation. And of course, the badge. Not your standard black-and-amber job, but a rare white-stitched compass patch, reserved for the brand’s most limited, most experimental creations.
With only 30 pieces in existence, simply calling this jacket isn’t really fair. It’s much more of a collector’s artifact, or a wearable anniversary trophy.
It truly is a mental piece of outerwear, and quite possibly the most END. way possible to finish their birthday celebrations. And while we’re a tad gutted the anniversary is coming to a close, the heft of this collaboration just about makes up for it.
The END. x Stone Island Translucent Cover-TC & Plated Reflective Jacket launches 21st November 2025, and will be available exclusively in-store at END. London, Milan, and Newcastle.
