Our Legacy dive into C.P. Company archive for heritage-inspired collab

Just when you thought things were winding down for the year. Just when you thought it was all about to go quiet. Just as you thought you were out, C.P. Company & Our Legacy have arrived to pull you back in.

Arriving in much the same way as the third round of Yorkshire Puddings on Christmas Day, this announcement has landed with an unexpected weight – hefty, welcome, and overwhelmingly tasty.

For the first time ever, the Swedish & Italian brands have crossed paths. We’d be lying if we said we expected it, but somehow the collection makes total sense from the moment you see it. It’s the meeting of two worlds that shouldn’t quite overlap – a bit like if ABBA and Ennio Morricone did a joint score for a Guy Ritchie film – but in some mad way it works.

An undeniable reason for the synergy is that the collab pulls directly from the treasure trove that is the C.P. Company archive. A place where decades of experimentation, tinkering & madness sit patiently waiting to be rediscovered. Our Legacy has gone digging, found gold, and rebuilt the silhouettes through their own lens, resulting in garments that balance utility, tailoring, and contemporary shape.

The results include pigment-dyed field jackets & parkas, leather anoraks with an unmistakably punk swagger, a wool–synthetic gabardine suit, and heavy cotton tees stamped with graphics pulled from C.P.’s past. There’s also a helping of beautiful corduroy pants, button-downs, and a revived version of a hat designed decades ago for Italian music icon Lucio Dalla. Oh, and a standalone Goggle Hood, for that Bez at Wembley Stadium (2000) look.

Both brands share a fascination with garment dyeing, and it has never been more obvious than in this collection. Much of the capsule has been treated with Our Legacy’s pigment-dyeing approach, using deadstock and surplus fabrics from both companies. The result is clothing that feels worn in straight out of the box.

And in true form, Our Legacy has also produced a limited-edition magazine to accompany the release, inspired by the original C.P. Company publications from the 1970s. They’ve nailed everything, right down to the grain per millimetre and the faded sharpness you can only achieve by scanning old mags. It features four distinct photo essays, each exploring the cultural undercurrents shared by both brands. It’s the kind of object that feels much more than a marketing tool, and almost levels the desirability of the garb.

All in all, it’s a perfectly executed collab. Archive silhouettes. Garment dyeing. Plenty of nice fabrics. And a limited edition magazine. Everything you want from an unexpected, but totally welcome late-year surprise.
