Khakis SS26 collection proves the small details matter

Generally, we try not to get overly excited in the Proper office. Maybe it’s our innate Northern pessimism, or maybe it’s because we simply consume so much nowadays that very few things are genuinely ‘exciting‘, but it takes something really special to truly raise our pulses – and South Korean brand Khakis is one of the most special things we’ve come across in recent memory.

We’ve known about Khakis for a little while, often whispering about their collections and collaborations over tea or while passing each other in the bogs. But a recent visit to their Paris showroom confirmed just how exceptional the brand really is. Khakis occupies that perfect, almost dreamlike intersection of Ivy League, streetwear, and outdoor. The colours are spot-on, the silhouettes are even better, and their fabric choices are enough to make us tear up.

The announcement of a new Khakis collection has become something of a national holiday in our office, and we finally received the first taste of what the brand is bringing in 2026, and unsurprisingly, it hits every spot in exactly the right way.

The collection centres around lightweight, highly wearable cotton garb, placing emphasis on washed and garment-dyed appearances. It’s nothing too crazy, just classic garments reinterpreted in a very satisfying way, which makes total sense – when we were in the brand’s Paris showroom, the Khakis creative director & designer told us ‘I’m just a normal person, I wear normal clothes‘ – such a simple statement, but one that resonates so clearly when viewing Khakis product.

Standout pieces from the SS26 collection include seaside-paletted knitwear, herringbone blazers, beautifully washed denim, faded flannel shirts, nostalgia-inducing pin badges, and – naturally – khaki pants.

We’re forever banging on in the office about how it’s often the smallest details that matter most, and Khakis are absolute masters of this idea. From textured buttons and contrast stitching to a perfectly judged off-white neck label. Everything about Khakis is intentional – even the decision to slip a pack of Biscoff biscuits into the lookbook.

The styling of the lookbook is equally impressive as the gear, with beautifully proportioned outfits, considered layering, and pitch-perfect colour palettes throughout.

All in all, Khakis SS26 is further evidence that a relatively under-the-radar South Korean brand is quietly becoming one of the most exciting prospects in menswear today. And, once again, proof that the small details really do make the biggest difference.

Khakis SS26 will be available to purchase on the 11th of February from Khakis
