Hiking Patrol is one of the best case studies in what happens when you pour everything into something you love and trust the process. What began as an Instagram mood board posting Patagonia fleeces, vintage Arc’teryx shells, and retro Oakley footwear – slowly morphed into a platform for documenting new outdoor fashion releases. Today, they collaborate with many of the very brands they once posted about, drawing directly from the mountain of references accumulated in their early days.
Hiking Patrol’s vast knowledge & wisdom on everything outdoor design bleeds into every collection they put out, and their new SS26 collection continues the trend.
The release, titled ‘A Sense of Ease‘, sees Hiking Patrol look upwards, drawing shapes, colours, and textures found in mountainous landscapes. Faded greys, sandy beiges, mossy greens, and sun-washed tones define the collection, creating a calm, grounded atmosphere that feels just as refined as it does technical.
As always, material choice plays a central role this season. A key highlight is the introduction of Arc and Waypoint linen-cotton mixed waterproof outerwear, developed using a three-layer linen-cotton fabric. The result of Hiking Patrol’s efforts is a textured, natural hand feel paired with light structure and dependable protection – outerwear that looks just as at home styled with non-technical everyday pieces as it does within a serious functional layering system.
Elsewhere, Hiking Patrol continues to refine its core functional products. The button-up shirt range expands with new styles that blend tailored detailing with functional construction, while striped athletic tops introduce a relaxed, active expression. A newly developed Jersey program rounds out the offering with comfortable, easy-to-wear essentials designed for everyday versatility.
Aside from the garments themselves, SS26 continues to prove how well Hiking Patrol pull everything together. Maybe it’s their roots in hyper-aesthetic Instagram feed curation, but every lookbook reads like an inspiring masterclass in layering, proportions, and colour theory. Proving that outdoor-wear doesn’t have to default to balloon trousers, hardshells, and Salomons.
