Discussing Helinox always leaves me at a bit of a crossroads. Has my enthusiasm for expertly-engineered camping furniture become a subtle admission that I’m getting old & boring? Or are Helinox chairs simply that good?
Considering the most-used seat in my living room – by me and by guests of every age – is a Helinox Zero, I’m comfortably backing the latter. It’s the chair people slump into without thinking, the one that never quite made it back into its storage bag.
And Helinox’s recent SS26 release only strengthens my case. The new drop lands in a futuristic neon and gridstop palette – the sort of thing that might send traditional ramblers into a state of frenzy, and the sort of thing I think looks bang on. Which means I can’t be that old just yet.
Aside from the gear visually resembling the sort of thing Darth Vader would take on a Tatooine camping trip, it has also been improved in just about every area imaginable. Weight has been reduced. Comfort has been turned up. And everything packs away even easier than ever.
Leading the charge are the new Chair Zero LT and Table Zero LT – the lightest chair and table Helinox has ever produced. The Chair Zero LT tips the scales at a feathery 1lb 2oz trail weight, evolving the brand’s ultralight benchmark with translucent GhostGrid™ ripstop for serious strength at minimal mass. A redesigned frame and stabilising X-strap add confidence on uneven ground (this technology also works in your livingroom).
Then, two new favourites have also been reworked. The Beach Chair (re) and Sunset Chair (re) feature Helinox’s (re) series construction, redistributing tension around the frame for improved support and upping the seat height for easier ins and outs. Repurposed aluminium reduces environmental impact, while integrated side pockets and refined assembly points add everyday usability to familiar silhouettes.
Built around proprietary DAC aluminium frames, recycled and bluesign-approved fabrics, and backed by a five-year warranty, the Spring 2026 collection feels less like a rehashing and more like a genuine, necessary evolution.
Which is either a sign that Helinox is getting even better – or that I’m getting to an age where I care deeply about an excellent chair – I don’t really care which it is, I’m comfortable either way.
