There are certain shoes in my collection that I absolutely love wearing all the time. And almost all of them are made by KEEN. Much to the annoyance of my other footwear, there’s something about the simple yet rugged design, playful colour palettes, and unmatched comfort of KEENs that make me reach for them again and again and again.
There’s a KEEN for every moment in life, and whenever rubbish starts to flow out of my bin, the Hyperport makes its way onto my feet. It’s dependable, rugged and absolutely perfect for taking out the trash.
I love my Hyperports, and just when I thought they couldn’t get any better, KEEN has announced a brand new collab version with none other than Snow Peak.
The collaboration features two iterations of the KEEN cult classic: one in a triple black colourway and the other in a vibrant blue-and-orange palette. Both look fantastic – my only gripe: the blue and orange are only available in children’s sizes.
Incredibly subtle Snow Peak branding is visible on the tongue and heel tab of both versions. So subtle in fact, you’d probably miss it if you didn’t know where to look.
But arguably the best thing about this collaboration (aside from the product) is the campaign visuals. The product has been shot in the realm of a family getaway – expertly styled models have been photographed on film to produce beautifully dreamy stills. I’ve stared at them for about half an hour, and am now in the process of adding them to my Pinterest Board.
All in all, it’s a restrained yet effective effort from two outdoor mainstays. Sure to be perfect for beach days, camping weekends, or just taking the bins out.
