We’re firm believers that money spent on good-quality outdoor gear is money well spent. Not only does it encourage you to break away from the monotony of everyday life and get outside, but if you pick wisely, your kit will outlive you. Meaning it can be inherited by the next generation of adventurers (provided the planet hasn’t been destroyed by then).
That’s exactly the sentiment behind Montane’s new Guaranteed for Life campaign. This brand isn’t just offering a warranty, it’s making a promise. Montane makes gear that’s built to last, tested in real mountains, and designed to go the distance. Every seam, zipper, and pocket has a purpose, refined through real-world adventure, not just in a lab.
Guaranteed for Life also means guaranteed for life. If any of your Montane gear ever fails because of a manufacturing fault, the brand will gladly repair it – or, if it’s totally unsalvageable, they’ll replace it. It’s a philosophy that values long-term use over ‘buy, trash, repeat.’
The campaign imagery centres around real people in real places. Montane has captured life in the mountains exactly as it happens – the rough trails, alpine climbs, and exposed ridges, all showing the gear as it’s actually used, not as it looks on the shelf of your local Cotswold Outdoor. They even sent 50 disposable cameras to members of the Montane Collective, giving them 27 shots each to document unfiltered moments of mountain mayhem. The result provides a raw, honest look at what it means to live, work, and adventure with gear you can truly rely on.
At its core, Guaranteed for Life is a philosophy about disposability. Good gear isn’t disposable, neither are the memories you make while using it, and the planet we all live on definitely isn’t either.
