What Gander has achieved in just three years is nothing short of remarkable. Standout collections, showcases in Paris and China, and a growing presence in retailers worldwide – it’s been a steady, deliberate ascent. The proof’s in the pudding: their name now sits second in Google search results. Give it time, and you wouldn’t bet against it overtaking the dictionary definition altogether.
Alongside quietly reshaping the English language, Gander have also been hard at work behind the scenes, refining what comes next. That next step arrives in the form of SS26 Drop Two – a continuation of the ideas introduced a month ago, but with a tighter, even more considered delivery.
This time, the setting shifts from the windswept openness of Formby Beach to the controlled environment of the studio. It’s a subtle change, but one that mirrors the collection itself – less on landscapes, more on focus and fabrics. At the centre of Drop Two is a return to five silhouettes that helped define SS25, each reworked with upgraded materials sourced from some of the world’s most respected mills.
Leading the charge is the Peveril Jacket, a piece of outerwear that’s garnered a cult following. For SS26, it arrives in a lightweight seersucker cotton blend, bringing texture and breathability into play without losing the structure that made it such an icon in the first place. The palette leans into pale, easy spring tones, reinforcing its place as an everyday layer rather than a statement one.
Elsewhere, the Deans Shirt and its matching Shorts carry forward the momentum built over the past few seasons. Cut from a cotton-linen Japanese fabric, they’re designed with wearability in mind – light, breathable, and suited to repeat use. Offered in two colourways, they continue to draw a quiet line back to Manchester, referencing Deansgate while feeling equally at home well beyond the reaches of canal boats and plastic pints.
Rounding things out, the Pennine set returns with its signature speckled texture, again delivered through a refined cotton-linen blend. It’s a familiar formula, but one that aligns with Gander’s key strength: evolution over reinvention.
Drop Two marks another measured step for the brand, reinforcing what’s becoming increasingly clear with each release: Gander is getting harder and harder to ignore. The momentum is building, quietly but unmistakably – and if you need proof, the Google search results are there to back them up.
Gander SS26 Drop Two will be available on 27th March from Gander
