We can’t help but draw inspiration from the landscapes around us. Monet found it in the French countryside. Georgia O’Keeffe looked to the vastness of the American Southwest. Closer to home, L.S. Lowry found his muse in the sprawling industrial landscapes of Salford.
For SEVENSTORE and Mellow Clo, they found inspiration not in their homeland of North West England, but in Iceland – a landscape of towering glaciers, stark terrain and elemental beauty became the impetus for their latest collaboration.
Unlike the artists who translated their surroundings onto canvas, SEVENSTORE and Mellow Clo have brought their ‘Glacier Blue’ capsule to life through technical outerwear – garments designed to withstand the very landscapes that inspired them.
The serenity of Iceland has been translated directly onto a selection of Mellow Clo classics, with an icy blue paintjob echoing the glacial tones of the backdrop. The result is a collection that feels intrinsically connected to its environment, balancing visuals with the functional DNA at the core of Mellow Clo.
Leading the release are the 3L Trek Jacket and Summit Puffer. Built for demanding conditions, the 3L Trek Jacket delivers the technical protection expected from a true technical outer layer, while the Summit Puffer has been reimagined for FW26 with a ripstop face fabric, making it even more hardwearing and ready for whatever the elements throw at it.
Like all great pieces of artwork, this campaign is as much a study of the landscape as it is of the garments. Shot against Iceland’s dramatic glacial terrain, the campaign visuals feel almost otherworldly – at times appearing less like a traditional fashion campaign and more like a still from a sci-fi film.
Against the scale and rawness of the Icelandic landscape, Mellow Clo’s garments become a natural extension of the terrain: technical pieces designed not just to be photographed in the elements, but to exist within them.
