What do we make of these then? Having only previously ventured into trainer land via the safety of collaborating with Nike, A.P.C. have made their first ever sneakers. Named the techno and the running both of which sound miles cooler if you pronounce them in a French accent they’re exactly the type of sporty-yet-smart sneaks that you’d expect from Jean Touitou and his Parisian posse. Both silhouettes are fairly low profile with contrasting chunky hiking laces and relatively subtle branding, they’re likely to appeal more to A.P.C.s slightly older fans rather than the hype kids looking for the latest drop to cop, which makes me think these could become underground classics in a similar way to the runners Our Legacy make.
Buy yourself a pair of A.P.C. sneakers from Hip Store from 8.00am on 12th of April here.
