When it first appeared in 1989 the adidas ZX 4000 was something of a godsend to those of us who spent a significant amount of our leisure time stomping on podiums and waving our arms in the air to house music. Considered a technological breakthrough at the time, I wonder if the designers knew that they’re cutting edge sportswear was being put through it’s paces by a load of bug-eyed ravers in the UK? Oh man if those Torsion bars could talk…. The great news is that adidas Consortium have brought back this dance-floor friendly design back and you can get yourself a pair of ZX 4000 from Hanon right here. Now, has anyone seen my Graeme Park mixtape?
