adidas Moss Side is Eco-Friendly Terrace Wear

adidas’ debuts its first eco shoe: the adidas Moss Side, made of recycled suede and hemp.

“Remember”, asks Oi Polloi, “when you were a young buck on the terraces? Desperately trying to surrender yourself to the beautiful game, only to have your mood dampened by the unsustainable trainers on your feet? We do. Well, no more! Let us introduce you to… the adidas Moss Side, the world’s very first eco-friendly terrace shoe.”

adidas Originals has updated an iteration of its 1979 TRX Runner, a model first introduced  in Japan over 40 years ago. Now, 2022’s eco version is named after Moss Side.

At least 50% of the Moss Side’s materials are recycled, with the upper utilising recycled mesh and suede. The inner sockline is hemp and the laces natural cotton.

“Perfect”, concedes Oi Polloi, “for when you and the rival firm reconcile your differences by starting a community-lead allotment project.”
