This week adidas Originals are opening up the doors to their brand new flagship store on Hanbury street in the heart of East London. Alongside handpicked drops, limited edition products and select adidas apparel the store will also provide a breeding ground for the local creative community to hang out and network whilst their work will be on display via the store’s ‘activation wall’. The store’s interior also pays it’s dues to the past as well a the future thanks to it’s use of locally reclaimed materials which includes giving a new lease of life to items such as the doors from the British Museum.
This celebrate the arrival of this Shoreditch shrine to sports shoes and streetwear adidas Originals are also launching the bespoke London Campus pack that’s limited to 200 pairs. Exclusively available in store, each shoe is defined by regional North, East, South, West editions with a strict run of 50 pairs, all individually numbered with exclusive tongue, heel and sock liner artwork. You can’t have too many concept shops and this one feels like it’s in the right place and providing the right kind of platform for the locals, the fact that it looks like the inside of Stasi officer’s playboy mansion can’t do any harm either.
