Back in 1988, Adidas released the ZX 420. It was discontinued in favour of 1989’s ZX 4000, but went down as a cult favourite. The series continued with numerous technological tweaks – making the ZX series one of adidas’ most interesting – but love for the ZX 420 stayed.
The model has returned in 2021 with three new colourways: grey/off-white/feather grey, red/ambient blush/cream white, active green/orbit green/cream white.
The upper is a blend of soft suede and mesh, with a triple-layered EVA midsole.
