Incredible news! Our Brooklyn based brethren over at Adsum have collaborated with our Boltonian brothers at Reebok on an early 90s performance runner that is about to turn us all into Pyro-maniacs. That doesn’t mean that we’re all about to start flicking lit matches onto the carpet it means they’ve brought back Christian Tresser’s utopian shoe design the Reebok Pyro. With added high quality craftsmanship and a frisson of high performance sailing vibes Adsum have even created a shoot that features the shoe being tested in the cold waters of Rockaway Beach on Long Island, but for now lets just admire the shoe here on trainer firma.
Staying true to the shoe’s running heritage Adsum reworked design elements to reflect the brand’s minimalist/restrained aesthetic with small but significant details such as reflective underlays and accent pop colours to complement the high quality pig suede. As has been said before on here both Adsum and Reebok can do no wrong for us at the moment with both of them absolutely killing it in terms of products, styling and all round amazing-ness. With this get together feeling like they’ve both reached a particular peak that I’m sure will continue to soar for both brands.
