Though the tremendous Saucony Elite trainers were originally scheduled for release exclusively at top-tier retailers in Japan when first conceived back in 2010, high demand and a fair bit of kicking off ensured that were also available outside the land of the rising sun albeit in seriously limited numbers. As part of Bodega’s 10 year celebrations they’re pulled these beauties from their vaults to create the latest addition to the Elite series, a superb suede colour-blocked Shadow 5000. A might fine looking reissue that comes in two different colours, made using premium uppers, mesh underlays, leather overlays and an absolutely tremendous woven tongue patch that makes me want to go and watch some old school Asterix cartoons.
